Características psicométricas com famílias em risco psicossocial

Resumo

A aliança parental diz respeito ao grau de cooperação existente entre os progenitores na educação das crianças. É uma dimensão fundamental para o funcionamento familiar adequado, particularmente em famílias em risco, que enfrentam desafios acrescidos. Esta investigação teve como objetivo validar e examinar as caraterísticas psicométricas do Inventário de Aliança Parental (PAI), uma das medidas mais utilizadas para avaliar este constructo, utilizando uma amostra de famílias portuguesas em risco psicossocial. Participaram 273 famílias com crianças recetoras de medidas de apoio e proteção, residentes no Algarve. Os progenitores preencheram o PAI e outros instrumentos destinados à avaliação das competências parentais e do stresse parental. A análise fatorial confirmatória replicou a versão unidimensional da escala original, com bons indicadores psicométricos de consistência interna e validade de constructo. Os resultados corroboram a utilidade e confiabilidade do PAI como uma medida fiável que poderá auxiliar os técnicos dos serviços de preservação familiar.
