Abstract

The aim of the present work is to shed light on the determining factors in the logistics performance of companies operating in the pharmaceutical sector in the Souss-Massa region. In order to maintain harmony between the object of our research and the methodological path taken to apprehend it, we have developed a conceptual model made up of thirteen variables spread over four levels stemming from the company's governance mechanisms, its logistics practices, its logistics tools and the company's structural contingency.
Starting from a post-positivist paradigm that we have embedded in a hypothetico-deductive reasoning, the transition from the theoretical base to the empirical side of the study will be made through an investigation by third-order structural modeling with latent variables estimated according to the repeated indicators approach following a type II model (reflective-formative). In future work, this model will be tested on a designed sample of pharmaceutical industry partners (laboratories, dispatchers, pharmacies, etc.).
