Abstract

This text is Ana Nance's account of how she delved into the world of pottery in Villarrobledo and how she found a way to engage with it from a conceptual and artistic perspective. The encounter between the multifaceted artist Ana Nance and the potter Maribel Gomez, from a long line of potters, would give rise to a very fruitful relationship between them. In this relationship between two women who approach the world of clay from two different perspectives, a connection would develop that, for months, would transcend formal, material, and intellectual boundaries, reaching the present from the past. The result: two magnificent works: one created by Maribel with Ana's subsequent decorative intervention, and another created in parallel by Ana with Maribel's guidance.
