The interview presented here is about José Carrillo Yañez, Full Professor at the University of Huelva, Spain, with the aim of paying tribute to his quality both in his academic career and in the person, he was, developed above all as a researcher. The interview was conducted with two professors and researchers from his department, Luis Carlos Contreras and Nuria Climent Rodríguez and Leticia Sosa Guerrero from the University of Zacatecas, Mexico.
One of Pepe Carrillo's great achievements was the analytical model of Mathematics Teacher's Specialised Knowledge (MTSK), which was promoted both in the Seminario de Investigación de Didáctica de la Matemática (SIDM) and in the Red Iberoamericana del MTSK, approved by the Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Postgrado (AUIP). Over the years, Pepe Carrillo has collaborated with master's and doctoral students, teacher trainers and researchers from various universities in Latin America (eg. de México, Chile, Brasil, Ecuador, Perú y Venezuela), de España y de Portugal, boosting the Specialised Knowledge of Mathematics Teachers (MTSK) not only in the area of Mathematics, but also in other areas: Physics Didactics (FTSK), Biology Didactics (BTSK) or Language Didactics (LTSK).
